Dressy Chapstick

Hello Hivers,

Here is a project I made using a Retired Framelit set.  I watched a video tutorial over at frenchiestamps.com.  I can't remember who I gave this to.  I love how the DSP matches the Stampin' Up! lip balm.  Even though more than half the items in my collection are retired, I will still continue to use them.  Some things are just that Awesome.

A Spotty Birthday

Hello Hivers,

My mother asked me to make her a few birthday cards to give out to her friends.  This is one of the cards I made.  I used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and the Cherry on Top DSP.  I also used my Banners Framelits along with the Tree Builder and Banner punches.

Thanks for buzzzing by the Hive today.

DIY Gift Bag

Hello Hivers,

I decided to make a bag using a technique that I have  been seeing everywhere.  I first seen this technique used with gift wrapping paper during the Christmas holiday.
Technically there is no measuring when making this bag.  I just used a scrap piece of DSP and made a couple of folds.  Here is a link to the first tutorial I seen using this method.

One More Day!!!

Hello Hivers,

We have one more day until the New Annual Catalog goes live.  I can't wait, I'm so excited.  With all the excitement about the New Annual Catalog, I am feeling a bit sad that the wonderful Hearts Collection Framelits will no longer be available, along with the Scallop Edge Border punch that I used here.

There is a wonderful, step-by-step video tutorial on how to make this cute Strawberry hand sanitizer Holder.  You can find it HERE.

Wall Banner

Hello Hivers,

I thought I would go ahead and share the banner I made for my nephews new baby.  This is the banner I created to hang on the wall.  It is not the best of pictures, but it is the only one I got before the banner was gone.  I love the pop that the Silver Glimmer paper gives the banner.

Thanks for buzzzing by the Hive.

Celebrate with Cake

Hello Hivers,

I CASE'd this card from Linda.  I follow her blog daily.  I don't know many stampers in my area and I know she lives close.  I would so love to meet with her at one of her events.  I think I could learn a lot from her.

Cardstock:  Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Real Red, Silver Glimmer
Ink:  Real Red, Midnight Muse, White Chalk Pen
Punch: 1/8" handheld
Other:  Circle and Starburst Framelits

Vertical Gate Fold

Hello Hivers,

I love today's card.  Everything about it makes me smile.  Let me start off by saying, I watched a video tutorial by Dawn G. on a similar card.  She gives very detailed instructions on how to put this card together.  With that being said, I made my Mother's Day card using the Labels Collection Framelits instead of the Window Frames like Dawn.  The images that I wanted to use made my card open from top to bottom instead of right and left like Dawn's card.  However, this is totally a CASE of her technique.

Side Note:  The card is about 7/8" to tall for our Medium Envelopes.  I just created a new fold line or you could cut the tip off the top or bottom of the card to make it fit better.

Not My Graduation Announcement

Hello Hivers,

This is the second card that I designed to be my graduation announcement.  I really liked the first one, but it just didn't seem to do it for me.  So I seen this fun fold card over at My Chic'n Scratch and thought, this is it!  But no, it is not.  I used the Moonlight DSP Stack and the new In Color Blackberry Bliss card stock and ink.  I also used Hello Honey ink.  This is cute, right?  I know.  It was just missing that special something.  I had to try again.  I will share the design that I decided on in a few days.

Tri-Fold Red Carpet Graduation Invites

Hello Hivers,

This is the invitation I designed in My Digital Studio for my sons graduation party.  I created all the elements and printed out 4 pieces onto Brushed Gold card stock.  I cut Basic Black card stock into a tri-fold card and adhered the 3 pieces to the inside.  I used Real Red card stock to create a belly band for closure and adhered the final piece to the belly band.  The final product turned out great and so did his party.

I will share the actual invites and pictures from the event on a later date.  Thanks for buzzzing by.

CASE'd Graduation

Hello Hivers,
This is the card I made for my son.  He just graduated from high school.  I CASE'd this card from Jan Tink.  I changed a few things to make my card a little more my own.

I used the Blue Ribbon and Starburst Sayings stamp sets.  I also used the NEW Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack and just a little bit of the Hello Honey ribbon.  Oh, and of course, I used the Starburst and Circles Collection Framelits to cut out my circular shapes.

For the inside of the card I used the new stamp set, Work of Art and the new In Colors.  I left a little space after the sentiment for a personal message.
I really love this card.  I hope you have enjoyed your visit to the Hive today.

Hello Hivers,

This is the final item I made for my sister-in-law.  They are the Thank You cards for her to send out to everyone.  I used an old stamp set for the sentiment.  I wanted something clean and simple.

Today I would like to wish my
Mother and my Son
a very
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
 I love you guys.

Mosaic Birthday

Hello Hivers,

This is a Birthday Card that I made with a friend.  She came over to stamp and we had so much fun.  We used the paper stack from the recently retired Spring Catalog.  The images are from the Mosaic Madness and Itty Bitty Banner stamp sets.  The card stock is Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Primrose Petals.  Some pearls and the Mosaic Texture folder were used to give it that umph.

Thanks to Sherrie Gross over at Stampin Sunshine for this wonderful card that I totally CASE'd.

Until next time....Buzzz you later,
Honeybee
