Father's Day Pop Up

Hello Hivers,
This is the card I made for my husband. I cased it from a card on SCS. I love, love, love, this Pop-Up Three Tier Cake Bigz die. There are so many different things that can be made with this die. I used the And Many Mower stamp set on this card as well.
Oh, I want to say.....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
to my aunt Chrisy and cousin Yana

Pop-Up Birthday

Hello Hivers,
This card was made for my FABULOUS mother-in-law. She recently celebrated her birthday. I wanted to try something new.....so I grabbed my Pop-Up Cake Die and ran it through the Big Shot. I used Sweet Always Designer Series Paper. It is going bye bye at the end of this month along with the Hugs and Wishes stamp set I used for the inside sentiment. I decorated my cake using the Eyelet Border, Boho Blossoms and Trio Flower punches. The sentiment on the front of the card is from the set, Party Hearty and the cupcake images are from Wagon Full of Fun.

Seminole Great Grad

Hello Hivers,

I made this card with a friend. She came over for a visit and wanted to make a graduation card. I told her I would not make it for her but I would make one and she could follow along. This is what we came up with. The layout is from a card I seen on SCS made by on-and-off-stamper.
We used Bravo Burgundy card stock, ink, and ribbon. We also used Basic Black, Whisper White, and More Mustard card stock. Don't you just love the Designer Filigree Brad?

School Pencil Box?

Hello Hivers,

This is not a pencil box. It is a box I made to hold all the 3x6 cards I have shared with you this past week. I decorated this box using an image from Wild About You stamp set. This set is one of my favs. I am sad that it is on the Last Chance List. I also used the Defining Alphabet set and layered it using the Scallop and other circle punches.

To make the box you will need a sheet of card stock cut at 9 1/4" x 9 1/4".

Score at 1", 4 1/4", 5 1/4", and 8 1/2" turn paper and score at 1", 7 1/4" and 8 1/4". Cut where indicated on picture. Use corner rounder on box lid. Adhere using Sticky Strip on back of 8 1/2" strip and bottom flaps. Click photo for larger view.

Enjoy!

You Made the Cut

Hello Hivers,
This is my last Punch Art Page that I made. Yes, Yes, Yes! I came up with this idea all on my own. Now, someone else may have made these, but I have not seen them. This started out very difficult for me. I could not figure out what size or shape to make the handles. I think I did a great job. What do you think?

School Supplies

Hello Hivers,
Can you take any more of my punch art pages. I asked my children to bring me their back packs so that I could see all the supplies they used at school. Look what I found. Glue! Click the photo to get a better view of the instructions. The bottom half of the page is the Easel used on the card from yesterday. I am not a very creative person, so when I come up with ideas on my own, I am very proud. One more punch art page tomorrow.

Note: The Key Tag punch will no longer be available for purchase after June 30, 2009.

What an Artist!

Hello Hivers,
As promised, here is the card using the Painters Palette and Brush. This card would be great for a teacher to give to her student to help build self esteem. I love the little frog in the painting. I used Water Color Paper to stamp the image of the flowers. I used my Aqua Painter to color the image from A Flower for All Seasons. The sentiment is from a Level 1 Hostess set called Sweet Little Sentiments.

Cute, right?

Hello Hivers,

Today I am sharing the card I made to match the box from yesterday's post. I used all the same supplies except I added the Baroque Motifs stamp in the background and I used a Basic Gray Corduroy Button. The flower is from the Daisies Bigz Die, it is just a different part. I hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful projects this week. I will have lots more next week. Leave me a comment. I don't mind. Really, I don't.

Book or Box? 3D105

Hello Hivers,
This cute little book is actually a box. It is super adorable. It was a 3-D challenge on SCS. It was designed to hold a gift card. Which is probably what I am going to use it for. I decorated mine for an upcoming wedding I will be attending. I used DSP from the Level 1 Hostess award Patterns Pack II. The card stock is Going Gray and Basic Gray. That oh so lovely daisy was made using the Big Shot and the Bigz Die Flower, Daisies #2. The center of the flower is a Clear Rhinestone Brad inside of a Filigree Designer Brad. I also used the Filigree brad on the "book marker" along with Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon. For the Sentiment I layered the Large Oval, Scallop Oval and the Wide Oval punches. I embossed the the sentiment in silver. The sentiment is from the Under $10 set: Forever ($5.95) found on page 208 of the current catty.

Great Friend Final Piece

Hello Hivers,
Here is the final piece of my collection. This is a box to hold all 6 cards and envelopes. I got the directions for the box from Dawn's Blog. I stamped 2 of the lovely butterflies using White StazON on Apricot Appeal card stock. I changed one thing about the design of the box. I punched half of the Large Oval to make a notch for opening the lid. I hope you have enjoyed seeing this collection as much as I enjoyed making it.
Next week I will be sharing more 6x6 technique cards plus other great projects. So be sure to check my blog daily.

I will share the final piece in this collection tomorrow.

Great Friend - Part 1

Hello Hivers,

Here is the 1st set of 3 that I will be sharing with you this week. I cased the card from Chat. I did make a few changes to my card, however. She does such great work. I get so many ideas from her blog.
For these cards I used the Great Friend stamp set out of the Occasions Mini Catalog(expires June 30, 2009). The DSP is from Patterns Pack II a Level 1 hostess award. The wonderful colors on these cards are Apricot Appeal, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. If you haven't noticed, Chocolate Chip is my favorite color. I added some colored brads to the butterflies to make them pop.

Last Chance Rooster and Specials

Hello Hivers,

I had so much fun making today's project. I used several different techniques. I just LOVE the way this card looks. I used Chocolate Chip, Tango Tangerine, and Very Vanilla card stock. My Big Shot was a huge help on this card. I layered the Top Note off center so that I could keep the perforated edge on the top piece but still get the layered look. What do you think of that? I grabbed my Small and Large Oval punches for the sentiment. Everything on this card got beat up something awful. I had my DH wad up the Very Vanilla pieces and one of my children tore the edges of the card base. I used the direct to paper technique for the background on the base and on the main image. "We" were going for the vintage look. Oh, I guess I should tell you that I used the Level 2 Hostess set Rustic Rooster. This gorgeous set will only be available until the end of June 2009. Host a workshop in June and you can get all kinds of goodies....What kind you ask.....well..

It Pays (More) to Have Fun

From June 1-30, in addition to the already fantastic hostess benefits, get even more hostess awards when you host a qualifying workshop:

Hold a $250-$399.99 workshop and receive an additional $20 in hostess free dollars!

*Awards are not accumulative; hostesses receive $20 in free merchandise for a single $250-$399.99 workshop, and $40 in free merchandise for a single $400+ workshop.

Honeybee's June Special - Part 2

Host a $250 or more workshop and receive a great gift* ($25 value) from me in addition to your hostess benefits. (*offer valid in June 2009 only/with me only)

Bye, Bye In Colors

Hello Hivers,

I am going to try and post projects featuring the current In Colors. I made this card for one of my DH co-workers (yes, another one). I used the Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, and Not Quite Navy card stock. The DSP is Urban Garden which will also be going bye bye soon. I used the lattice technique at the top of the card. (Visit Dawn's blog for video instructions.) The Kiwi Kiss Satin Ribbon separates the DSP and the Scalloped edge. I added some Jumbo Eyelets and the sentiment is from Brighter Tomorrow(a retired stamp set).
