Calendars

Hello Hivers,
I think I like these desk calendars. I made another. For this one I used the Bella Rose DSP. I made the flower using the Circle Scallop Punch (Pink Pirouette) and 3 circle punches layered on each other (Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White). The middle of the flower is from the Filigree Designer Brads. I used Kiwi Kiss card stock for the petals that were ran through the paper crimper. I added some White Grosgrain ribbon layered on Kiwi Kiss card stock as the stem for the flower. Isn't this just gorgeous?

Giftable Tiles -- Upgraded

Hello Hivers,
Remember the tiles I shared a while back? Well, here is what I decided to do with them. Instead of giving all 4 as a set of coasters, I made 6 note cards with envelopes to match the tiles. I tied it with some ribbon and added a tag. I used the Say It With Scallops stamp set for the sentiment on the tag and punched it out with the Scalloped Square punch. Now I have 4 gifts instead of one. Cool right?

Cell Phones

Hello Hivers,
Guess who has a new cell phone. Me! It's the new LG Lotus from Sprint. It is a cool purple color with swirling flowers on the front. I love the square shape. I bought this cool clear case for it and look what I did. I used some SU! retired rub-ons to decorate the back of the phone. I love the versatility of our Rub-Ons. Now the back of my phone is as cute as the front.

Altered Picture Frame

Hello Hivers,
As promised, here is what I made for my up line, Mary. It is a desk calendar made from a picture frame. I used most of the same items that were used to make the bag. The mini calendars came from Vippies. In the center of the flowers are Rhinestone Brads on one I used Silver Elastic Cord. The acrylic frames are from Wal-Mart. I only paid $1.00 for each. This was such a quick and easy project. These make great teacher gifts.

Altered Lunch Bag

Hello Hivers,
Sorry about being MIA. I got a lot of projects completed. I tried to make a video, however, I don't know how to upload correctly. Any who, here's a gift bag I made for my up line Mary. I will share the gift that was in the bag tomorrow. I just love this DSP. You can find it in the Holiday Mini Catalog, it is called Ski Slope. I used some Chocolate Chip card stock for the base of my bag. The Baja Breeze 1" Double Stitched Grosgrain ribbon looks very good on this project. The flower was made using the Flower Fusion Too kit and the Filigree Designer Brads. I used some Silver Elastic Cord to hold the tag that was embossed and then punched out and layered using the Scalloped Square Punch. The sentiment on the tag is from the Level 1 hostess set: Best Yet.

Blooming

Hello Hivers,

Here is a card that I made during the Thanksgiving break. I used some spring colors to brighten things up a bit. I stamped the image using my VersaMark ink pad and sponged over it with my Stampin' Pastels (chalk). I added some ribbon to the sentiment and popped it up using dimensionals. Oh, I used the Bloomin' Beautiful stamp set for this project.

Hello Hivers,
I made this mini pizza box with Kiwi Kiss card stock. The rest of the box was made using the main image from a card I received last year on Thanksgiving.
Go through some of your old cards and see if there is anything you can reuse.

Nesting Triangle Treat Boxes

Hello Hivers,
I made some Thanksgiving treat boxes. I made all three from the same 8-1/2 x 11 sheets of Kiwi Kiss card stock. I found the tutorial on SCS under resources. The boxes tie at the top for closure. The really neat thing about these three boxes is that they nest inside of each other. I water colored all the images. A Flower for All Seasons, Harvest Home, and the hostess stamp set Occasions Collections were used.

Giftable Tile

Hello Hivers,

I made this wonderful set this past weekend. My upline, Mary, had a technique class while i was in town and I jumped at the chance to attend. We stamped our images using Craft Ink and baked the tiles for about 30 mintues. You can give these as gifts or keep them for yourself. We made a total of 4 coasters and 1 trivet pad each. We had lots of fun talking and stamping.

Happy Wednesday

Hello Hivers,
I want to start this post by saying, WoW! So many people got out and voted for this election. I am so proud of us as a country. No matter who you voted for I am just happy you voted. I was MIA yesterday because I had to make a 5 hour trip to cast my vote. I didn't get an absentee ballot or vote early sooooo a trip had to be made. It was well worth it. .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Now on to stamping buzzziness. The design for this card is a case from regionals in September. It was made using a retired stamp set called A Wild Rose. In the current catalog on page 105, we have a similar set called A Rose is a Rose. The technique used to create this beautiful card is Two Step Stamping. Enjoy your Wednesday.

Blank Scrappin' Card

Hello Hivers,

Have you ever needed a card in a hurry, just to find that none have the sentiment that you need? Well, that happens to me a lot. I decided to make a few cards a leave the sentiment off until I need to use the card. That way I can just stamp happy birthday, with sympathy, or what ever it is that I need it to say. I made this card using, Yes, a retired Simply Scrappin' Kit. I am trying to use up all my old supplies. Have a buzzerific day.

Peanut Butter Witch

Hello Hivers,
I seen these cute hats on SCS. I just had to make some. I used them for treats at the Halloween party we went to. I used the 3rd largest circle on my Coluzzle and cut it in half. Applied some sticky strip and wrapped it around a Mini Peanut Butter Cup in the shape of a hat. I punched out a scalloped circle and used it as the brim of the hat. I stamped good witch and bad witch on Only Orange card stock and applied to fronts of hat. The sentiment is from the stamp set Humor in High Heels.

Note: The candy was cold so that it would not smash when working with it. Wrap candy with wide end down.

It's Saturday---Yesssss!

Hello Hivers,
My family and I were invited to a Halloween party tonight. I made this Apron card to give to the Hostess. I plan on putting a simple, yet yummy and ghoulish recipe on the insert. I used Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, and Chocolate Chip card stock along with Ghostly Greetings DSP. I stamped images from Tasty Sweet and Eat, Drink, and be Scary stamp sets in the background. I added some white gel doodle dots. A fun little Going Gray tag was added to the upper pocket with some Whisper White Grosgrain ribbon and a silver brad. I used the Scallop Edge punch and Chocolate Chip ribbon to finish off this project.

P.S. The recipe card was stamped using a retired set. There is a current set that is very similar on page 131 of the catalog. I added a recipe for Easy Ghost Cookies. I found the recipe on Nabisco.com

Embrace Pink

Hello Hivers,

Here is my fourth and final Breast Cancer Awareness card. Well, maybe not my final. I decided to add Basic Black card stock and no DSP to this card. I think it is a simple, yet lovely and bold looking card. I cased the image from the current SU catalog. The sentiment was punched out using the Word Window punch and layered off center on Basic Black of the same shape. I finished the card with some Pretty in Pink Grosgrain ribbon. All four of my cards are being donated to help encourage and lift the spirits of breast cancer patients and/or survivors.

Oh, by the way the stamp set that I used is called Enjoy Every Moment. I hope I inspire you to create some cards of your own.

Scrappin' Birthday

Hello Hivers,
Wow! How many cards can you make from a Simply Scrappin Kit? A Lot.....lol It all depends on what size you make the cards. This card is 3x6 and you can make 4 from one sheet of 12x12 card stock. Everything on this card is from the Kit. The sentiment is from the Bitty Birthday stamp set and I used some Whisper White card stock for layering.
