Hello Hivers,
Welcome to the July's Stampers By The Dozen Blog Hop. This month we are bringing you projects that are redos of one of our earlier works. This will be so much fun. I have decided to redo my very first blog post from August 2008 using products from the current annual catalog.
A Blast From the Past
For todays project I am using items from the Tropical Escape Suite along with a few items from the Darling Label Punch Box. As with any CASE project, I will change a few things but keep with the general design of the original project.
Project Redo
Since the original project was a bag, I thought I would make a bag as well. Any excuse to make a 3D project :). Here are two mini bags that can hold a few chocolate candies such as Hershey's Kisses or Nuggets.
Bag Measurements
I decorated with 2 pieces of DSP measuring 1-5/8" x 3-1/8"
Smaller Bag
6" x 3.5"
DSP (2) 1.5" x 2.5"
Score long side at: 1-5/8", 2-5/8", 4.25", 5.25"
Score short side at: 7/8" (optional* sides only 1-7/8")
One Last Look
Just a reminder...The Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper, used on these projects, is included in the BUY 3 GET 1 FREE sale for the month of July.
I hope you have enjoyed your visit to the Hive today. Sooo...What did you think of my projects for this Hop? Leave a comment and let me know.
Remember, this is a Blog Hop, the excitement continues...
Hop on over to Carly's blog...she is up next in the Blog Hop.

Hello Hivers,
Today my hubby and I are celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. I altered this box from a local craft store to place a few special items in. I made a card on the inside of the book/box. I love everything about this box. The color, texture and size. It is about 4"x6", measuring the outside. For the outside of the book/box I used the packing paper that comes in a Stampin' boxes when you order products.

Hello Hivers,
Today I just wanted to share a quick tip. I love the Glimmer Paper that Stampin' Up! offers. The only problem is that it only comes in Silver and Red. This is how I solved that problem....
......Re-inkers, Sponge Daubers, and Silver Glimmer Paper. I used the Heat Tool to dry it, or you can let it sit for a while.
It's just that easy.

Hello Hivers,
Today I thought I would show you the Clear Mount Case that I made the insert for. This is what the finished project looks like. I have been trying to use MDS more. I must admit, I was a bit fearful of the program at first. Now, that I have been using it more I realize what a great tool it is to have. I only wish that I had figured this out sooner.

Hello Hivers,
I wanted to share another glimpse into my Stamping Hive. I took this magnetic cork board and covered it with the Spice Cake Fabric. The board was a little larger than I wanted so the fabric did not wrap around the edges very well. As you can see, I covered the edges with ribbon to hide the loose ends. I think it turned out great. This was my first time making a Memory Keeper. I have seen them all over Stampin' Connection and SCS....I just had to try it.

Hello Hivers,
Today I am sharing a project that I seen
HERE. I thought this was just the best idea. I love it. I don't like the fact that the Linen Thread or Bakers Twine comes on the sheet of cardboard. Using these containers are perfect. I hot glued a set of three together. I haven't used up any ribbon yet, so I don't have the middle piece to wrap the twine around. You can find out all the details by clicking the above link and
HERE as well.

Hello Hivers,
This is my other Stampin' Card Keeper. I covered this one using the Spice Cake DSP. My most favorite DSP ever. If you have noticed, in the background of my photos you have seen the Spice Cake fabric. These are objects that will be going on the wall in my Stamping Hive. I love the patterns and colors used for the paper and fabric.
Thanks for buzzzing by the Hive.

Hello Hivers,
This is one of my Stampin' Card Keepers. I have covered it in Mocha Morning Specialty DSP. It looks so elegant. I topped it with a flower using the Fun Flowers Bigz Die and some Soft Suede Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and a brad form the Antique Brads set. The lid on this one is very hard to get on. I should not have taken the DSP all the way up the sides. It would be best to stop the paper just below the lid.

Hello Hivers,
Today I am sharing a book we made Friday night before Regionals. My upline Mary G. brought all the supplies for us to make this cute note book. We started out with the 5 x 5 Art Journal and added some of the new spring inspired Paisley Petals DSP and the Four Frames stamp set. Ribbon and other embellishments really take this journal to the next level. She also gave us all a pen with the Stampin' Up! logo on it. We were supposed to use this at Regionals to take notes.....but I couldn't write in it....it is just too cute.

Hello Hivers,
Here are the cute little candles I made to match the tiles from yesterday. Just stamped the design on tissue paper and heat set it onto the candle. Super easy. Thanks again
Michelle for such a wonderful design. Oh...I forgot to tell you yesterday about what I used. I used the Hostess stamp set Asian Artistry and the Lovely Letters Alphabet set. I hope my family will love them.

Hello Hivers,
I made these monogrammed tiles for gifts at my family reunion. I probably shouldn't be posting them yet since my reunion is not until next month. LOL I used two different techniques when I made these. On one tile, I stamped and sponged directly on the tile. The other, I stamped on tissue paper and used Modge Podge to adhere it to the tile. I got the design idea from the wonderful
Michelle Zindorf. I will share the other items that will be given with these tiles tomorrow.

Hello Hivers,

Hello Hivers,
I made these water bottle tags for Teacher Appreciation week at my children's school. I love the way they turned out. This was the first time I made them. You have to excuse the picture...I did not have any water bottles or the single lemonade packs that would go in the front pouch. All I had on hand was Rice Wine Vinegar and Starburst candy. I used Tango Tangerine, YoYo Yellow and Riding Hood Red card stock.

Hello Hivers,
I am getting an early start on my Teacher's Appreciation gifts for this year. I made this note pad cover w/pen holder for one of the male teachers.
I used the Basic Black card stock and stamped with Gold Encore ink. I used the 1-1/4 circle punch to make the" dangly thing" on the pen.

Hello Hivers,
This is a project I made to hold my stamps. Well, it doesn't exactly hold my stamps. I stamp the image from each set onto a 5x8 index card and file it in my "stampadex".
What I did:
I used two sheets (one for the front one for the back) of cardboard--the ones that come in our make-and-takes at Regionals/Convention--I cut this down to 9x6 1/4 each. I cover each piece with DSP (Delicate Dots-SAB-used here).
I punched two holes at the top of each board and set Jumbo eyelets using the Crop-A-Dile. (Be sure to line these holes up with the index cards as well.) Decorate as desired. Here I used both ribbons from the SAB ribbon bundle. (Certain Celery is on the back cover). I used letters from the On Board Timeless Type and Sticky Cuts Letters.
The first "S" is the sticky cuts. I covered it with Micro Beads. The "m" is the negative of the letter from Timeless Type. I used my sponge dauber to cover it with Close to Cocoa ink and then covered it with Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. The backing of the letter is a piece of So Saffron card stock. The flowers are from the Polka Dot Punches stamp set (SAB). For the center of the flowers I used Chocolate Chip Corduroy Brads and a button form Button Latte.

Other supplies used: Eyelet Border Punch, White gel pen, Whisper White and Old Olive Craft Ink, Sticky Strip, Tombo Multi Purpose Adhesive, Scallop Punch, 5-Petal Punch, Certain Celery and Bashful Blue card stock, Classic ink to match paper.

Hello Hivers,
These are the gifts I made for my childrens teachers and other staff members at the school. I bought these cute little spice jars from Ikea and filled them with Candy Corn. I used the Love You Much stamp set and Candy Lane DSP to decorate the lid. I used some retired Rub-Ons for the sides and finished it off with some Whisper White and Real Red grosgrain ribbon. I added the Red Gingham ribbon to some.
Thanks for buzzzin' by my hive.
Until next time.....
