April My Paper Pumpkin and Sneak Peek

Hello Hivers,

Here is the wreath I made using this months Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I think it came out well.  (Sorry for the shadow.) This project was super fun and easy to put together.  Below I have posted just a few alternate project ideas that were featured on the  SU! blog.

Alternate Projects using the April 2016 Paper Pumpkin Refill Kit:

Christmas, Mother's Day, and much more.

Lovely Little Wreath Refill Kit    139197
Price: $8.00
(April 2016)

Contains supplies for 1 wreath

Your kit includes:

• 1 foam wreath form
• 1 frame with twine
• 12 sheets of leaf cutouts
• 4 sheets of cotton paper flowers
• 1 sheet of chalkboard tags
• 1 sheet of die-cut branches
• 5 ft. of vanilla cotton ribbon
• 50 adhesive dots

* Must be a current Paper Pumpkin subscriber to order this item.

Earlier this month at our demonstrator OnStage event, attendees had a chance to sneak peek the May kit, so it’s only fair to give you a peek too! The Many Manly Occasions kit will include 8 laser-cut cards and envelopes and we know you’ll love it. Share this image with your friends online and tell them to subscribe by May 10 to get a kit.

A closer look at the Alternate Projects from the Stampin' Up! blog:

It’s never too early to start thinking about Christmas, right? It’s easy to turn the Lovely Little Wreath into a holiday décor item. Simply swap out the yellow flowers for holly berries and use a holiday stamp on the chalkboard sign.

Next, with Mother’s Day right around the corner, add some festive foliage to create a glamorous gift box for Mom. Use the chalkboard tags and Very Vanilla Craft Stampin’ Spot from the kit.

Raise your hand if you’ve picked up on the cactus trend. They’re everywhere, right? Create some eye-catching cacti with beautiful desert blooms with the extra flowers and leaves from your kit.

The bent leaves on the branches pop right off this prehistoric card. And, might we say . . . the end result is dino-mite!

Finally, keep it simple with a smaller version of the wreath to create a stunning centerpiece for a card front.

It’s always amazing to see what you can do with your Paper Pumpkin kit. Whether you want to change it up completely, or just use up the extra parts and pieces, the end result is always fun! If you’ve fallen in love with the Lovely Little Wreath, be sure to stock up on refills, while supplies last.

I know I am super late posting Mother's Day cards in October.  I told you back in August that I would be posting some projects that I never shared until the end of the year.

Well, I just have to say I love the colors on this card.  Some colors just make me happy and this color combination definitely makes me happy.

I used the stamp sets Blessed Easter and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Vertical Gate Fold

Hello Hivers,

I love today's card.  Everything about it makes me smile.  Let me start off by saying, I watched a video tutorial by Dawn G. on a similar card.  She gives very detailed instructions on how to put this card together.  With that being said, I made my Mother's Day card using the Labels Collection Framelits instead of the Window Frames like Dawn.  The images that I wanted to use made my card open from top to bottom instead of right and left like Dawn's card.  However, this is totally a CASE of her technique.

Side Note:  The card is about 7/8" to tall for our Medium Envelopes.  I just created a new fold line or you could cut the tip off the top or bottom of the card to make it fit better.

Oh, Happy Mother's Day

Hello Hivers,

Happy Mother's Day!

These are a couple of the cards I made for Mother's Day.  The first one is for my sister-in-law.  She is a first time mom.  Her baby is was born on May 1st.  I used the Starburst Sayings stamp set with the coordinating Framelits.  The DSP is from the Fresh Prints Stack.  I used Real Red ink and Coastal Cabana card stock.  The flower is Crumb Cake using the Petite Petals punch.
The second card is for my mother-in-law.  I used the Vivid Vases stamp set with Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Coastal Cabana card stock.  The DSP is from the same stack..Fresh Prints.
I cased the layouts from two other stampers.

Card in a Box

Hello Hivers,

Today I am sharing a fun project.  I made this box for my mother.  I mean this card.  Well, actually it's both.  This box folds flat into a card and fits inside a standard card envelope.  I used a variety of stamps sets on this project including various punches.  I have mentioned this before, I love this Designer Series Paper, Venetian Romance.  There is space on the back for a personal message.

Happy Mother's Day!

Hello Hivers,

Happy Mother's Day to all. This is the card I made to send out to all the mothers in my life. I seen the layout for this card somewhere....don't remember where. I colored my pearls with markers. Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding really makes this card stand out.

I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day.

Mother's Day Swap

Hello Hivers,
This is one of the 3 cards I made to swap. I loved making all these beautiful cards. I just love the color combinations. This card uses Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, and Blushing Bride card stock. I used the stamp set Messages for Mom and colored it using SU! Markers. I added a flower using the Boho Blossom Punch and a brad. I started out by making an ATC and then I added it to a full sized card front. I also used the Medallion stamp. I embossed it on the Level 1 DSP pack that had been cut out with the Top Note Die and sponged it with Regal Rose ink. I added some Chocolate Chip ribbon to finish it off.

Teeny Tiny Wishes
Word Window Punch
Modern Label Punch
Crumb Cake card stock

NOTE: The ribbon is a retired item. You can get this same look by coloring White ribbon with re-inker, markers, or the ink pads.

Final Mother's Day Card

Hello Hivers,
I made this card for my mother. I love the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die. The butterflies are so cute. They can be used in a variety of ways for all occasions. The Top Note die is tucked under the Boho Blossoms flower to keep the card shut.
I wrote a personal message on the back of the card.
I used the Well Scripted and Messages for Mom stamps sets to create this card. Gotta love the background stamp too. I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. Thanks for Buzzzing by.

Until next time.....

Elegant Mother's Day

Hello Hivers,
I have mentioned several times on my blog that I am not very creative. I, however, can copy just about anything. One would think I would have figured out by now that I need to write down the blogs I visit for ideas. I have searched for the original designer of this card and can not find her. I thought I saved it to my favorites on SCS, but it is not there. I am so sorry I can't give proper credit.

Lesson Learned. I will be writing down websites from now on. This card is Super Pretty. I just had to copy it. I used the Bella Toile and Best Yet stamp sets. I gave these out for Mother's Day. I had to die by Satin Ribbon to match the Melon Mambo card stock.
Supplies: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Kraft, and Melon Mambo card stock. Aqua Painter, Melon Mambo, Chocolate Chip, and Always Artichoke Stampin' Write Markers. Square Lattice Embossing folder, Square Scallop punch, 1/4 square punch and brads.

The Same Yet Different

Hello Hivers,
Here is another Mother's Day card. I used all the same papers and stamps as on the card from yesterday. I just changed up the order of the layering. I still haven't been able to find the original designer of this card. If you know who it is, please leave me a comment. I want to give proper credit. Thanks for buzzzing by my Hive.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Hello Hivers,
Today I am posting one of the many Mother's Day cards I made. I seen this card on another blog. Sorry, right now I can't remember where. If I find it again, I will post a link to the original card. This card has very little stamping. In fact, you only stamp twice. Everything else is DSP and embosslits die cut outs. Enjoy your day.

Supplies: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, and Green Galore card stock. Rich Razzleberry Polka-Dot ribbon, Cottage Wall DSP, Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die, Scallop Trim Border punch, and the Well Scripted stamp set.

Happy Belated Mother's Day

Hello Hivers,
Here are a few of the cards I made for Mother's Day. I made several in different colors. I wanted to be sure everyone got their cards before posting them. I used silver embossing powder on the sentiment and brushed silver card stock for the flower. I used the Stampin' Up! Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die to make the embossed flowers with a little glitter.

Until next time.....
