Painted Harvest - Hello Friend

Hello Hivers, 

I made this card for a long time friend.  I was thinking of her and just wanted to say hello.  Instead of sending a text message or making a phone call...I thought a handmade card would be best.  I really love the way this card came together.  Nothing fancy, but I think it is a Wow card.

Eastern Beauty Smiles

Hello Hivers,

I thought I would try something different with the Eastern Beauty stamp set.  I used some of the images as flowers.  This was my first attempt and I didn't really think about the layout.  I love this card, but I think I could have done so much more.

Colors:  Dapper Denim, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Smokey Slate, Wink of Stella, and Soft Sky

Ferrero Rocher - All Wrapped Up

As promised, here is my version of Heidi's project.  I love making boxes and such.  They make great gifts.  I have using the Color Theory DSP agian along with Whisper White, Old Olive and Powder Pink card stock.  The sentiment on the top is from the Eastern Beauty stamp set.  I used the 3/4" and 1" circle punches and popped it up with a Stamping Dimensional.

Measurements:

Box Wrap:   6.5" x 3" 

Score long side at:   1.5", 3", 4 .5" , and 6" 

Boxes x 2:  4.75" x 4.75"

Using the Envelope Punch Board

Punch and score at: 1-3/8" and 3-3/8" 

Repeat on all 4 sides

Box Lid:  3.25" x 3.25"

Score on all 4 sides at: 3/8" and 7/8"

Layers for Inside Boxes:

Card stock:  1.25" x 1.25"

DSP:  1-1/8" x 1-1/8"

 Lid Layers: 

Card stock:  1-3/8" x 1-3/8" 

DSP:   1.25" x 1.25"

Layers for sides:

Card stock:  2.75" x 1.25" (4 pieces)

DSP:  2-5/8" x 1-1/8" (4 pieces)

Diamond Shaped Lidded Box

Hello Hivers,

You all know I love making 3D projects.  I saw this cute little box on Pinterest.  The measurements were in cm so I had to do some recalculations to make it using inches.   My dear sister bought me a big box of Ferrero Rocher chocolate candies for Mother's Day.  I thanked her then laughed.  I knew that I would be making some type of box to put them in.  I used the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper along with Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, and Dapper Denim card stock.  A few small circle punches and the Eastern Beauty stamp set finished the boxes.  I decided to add a little bit of the Gold Metallic Thread to one of the boxes.  Each box holds just one of the Ferrero Rocher chocolates.


WRITTEN TUTORIAL

BOX LID
3-1/16" x 3-1/16"
Score at:  3/4" on all for sides


DSP
1-3/8" x 1-3/8" (1)
5/8" x 1-3/8" (4)

BOX
 6-7/8" x 3-1/8"
Score short side at:  1-9/16" and 2-3/8"

Turn card stock and Score with the Bigger section at the top at:  1-9/16", 3-1/8", 4.75", and 6-5/16"

Now with the Smaller section at the top Score at:  1-3/8", 2-15/16", 4.5", and 6-1/8"

You will need to add some diagonal score lines as shown below.

When cutting up the bottom flaps, only cut away the score line or less.

Sunflower Mother's Day

Hello Hivers,

I have a few more Mother's Day cards to share with you.  I know many people only send cards to their own Mom...but I like to send them to my friends and family, as well.

This card was made for my aunt.  It is actually one of the first cards I made using the Eastern Palace Suite of products.  Still loving the bright colors.

These cards were CASE'd from Pinterest.  I know I saved this as a pin and I can't find it.  Ugh!  This always happens.  I know I will see it later.

I made the card in the back for my sister.  Today is her birthday.  The cards are the same...I just reversed the colors and used different sentiments.

I made this card for my sister-in-law on Mother's Day.  I can't say enough about the Eastern Palace Suite.  It just gives me joy.

Do you see the little dots on the blue circles?  I made that by dropping a little of the glue from the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

A Note for Mother's Day

I wanted to try something new this year.  I wanted to make the majority of my Mother's Day cards be non-traditional.  So when you look at the front of this card...it doesn't say or look to be for Mother's Day.  But...it is!  The inside is full of wonderful Mother's Day greetings and messages of love and appreciation.

Hello Sunshine

Hello Hivers,

I am in love with today's card.  I made this card for one of my sisters on Mother's Day.  I just love all the bright colors.  The new Lemon Lime Twist is just Gorjus.

The Eastern Palace Suite is so diverse.  I am so happy that I decided to purchase this Early Release Bundle.  Stampin' Up! products can easily be mixed and matched with each other.  Like I did here with the Eastern Palace Suite along with the Sunshine Wishes thinlits.

Forever Friends

Don't you just love this sentiment?  I used one of the new In Colors (Fresh Fig) on this card.  I paired it with Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  I added a touch of Silver Glimmer Paper and Rhinestones for a little sparkle.

Easter Palace Rainbow

This is one of several cards I made using the Eastern Palace Suite of products from Stampin' Up!.  I saw a card on Pinterest that used a variety of colors in behind the medallion...I had to CASE that part.  I must say, this suite has really jump started my MOJO.  I have so much to share with you all.  The colors I used on this card are:  Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lime Twist, Island Indigo, Very Vanilla, and Dapper Denim.
