Faceted Box

Hello Hivers,

This is a simple Faceted Box I found on Pinterest.  Don't you just love that website?  I do.  Any who...I found a video tutorial by Carola Tidl-LielanLinz.  It's not in English but it is very easy to follow along.  I used the Candy Cane Lane DSP along with Real Red card stock to make this project.

As always, thanks for Buzzzing by the Hive today.

Late Christmas Post

Hello Hivers,

OMG!  I can't believe that I forgot to post this project.  I don't even remember where I found the instructions....although I'm sure it was on Pinterest.  I gave these out to a few teachers at my daughters school.  Just a little treat to show our appreciation for all that they do.

Candy Milk Carton

Hello Hivers,

This is a simple milk carton style box.  It is shorter and wider than most.  I found a video tutorial on Pinterest by Sam H. on how to put this cutie together.  Here is a link to the video.  As you can see from the photo...I filled my box with the soft peppermints.  This was a part of a gift set I made for the Assistant Principal at my daughters school.  I hope she enjoyed it.

Merriest Wishes

Hello Hivers,

These are the final cards I made using the Merriest Tags framelits.  I love the layout.  It is so simple.  It allows each element to shine.  You can see the DSP, the stamped sentiment as well as the tag.  They all get to have their 15 minutes of fame, so to speak.  LOL  The cards at the top are my favorite of all these featured today.

Side Easel

Hello Hivers,

I watched Dawn G. make these cards over on her blog.  I just had to make them.  I only changed a few things on my version of the card.

Can you see the sparkle on the peppermints?  I added Wink of Stella all over.  I love the glitter without the mess.

Detailed Santa Shaker

Hello Hivers,

This was my first time using the Detailed Santa thinlits.  I don't know what took me so long to get to them.  I love it.  I made two shaker cards that are basically the same except for the paper used in the background.  This thinlit really stands alone, it adds so much interest to a card.  With so much going on with the front of the card, I thought it best to keep the inside very simple.

Merriest Father

Hello Hivers,

I made a few more cards using the Merriest Tags framelits.  I think they look good paired with the Father Christmas stamp set.

I don't know what happened when I was taking these photos.  Sorry for the darkness.  I didn't even notice until I came here to post them.

Candy Time of Year

Hello Hivers,

Just a quick and simple card today, for a quick and simple post.  I used the Time of Year Hostess stamp set.  I just added a couple of cut outs from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper.

As always,
Thanks for Buzzzing by the Hive today.

Two Way Poppers

Hello Hivers,

I found a video tutorial on Pinterest for these cute boxes.  The young lady called the Half Popper Boxes.         I am calling them Two Way Poppers because you can leave them in one of two ways.  Popped up like shown in the first photo or remove the ribbon and push it down as shown in the bottom photo.  I am not sure which way I like more.  They are both cute.  I feel as though these boxes need a tag or something.  They just don't seem complete.  Maybe I will add it before I give them to their recipient.

Thanks for buzzzing by the Hive today.

Two by Two

Hello Hivers,

Just some cute little boxes here for you today.  These boxes measure 2" x 2".  They are the perfect size for a nice treat or a small candle.  I tried and tried to get a picture that showed all the Wink of Stella that I applied all over these boxes.  They are much more beautiful in person.  I used the Candy Cane Lane DSP, Merriest Wishes stamp set along with the Bow Builder punch to decorate the boxes.

What do you think?  Which is your favorite?

6 Hershey's Nuggets Box

Hello Hivers,

Today I am sharing a box that holds 6 of the Hershey's Nuggets.  I found the tutorial on Connie Stewart's blog.  I followed her directions and adjusted the box for my needs.  By lining up my nuggets and measuring the length (6") I just added 1.5" to that and came out with a length of 7.5" for my box and keeping the 5.25" width Connie started out with.  All the score measurements stayed the same.  I will be trying this on smaller versions sometime next month.  I have included a written tutorial for your pleasure.

Instructions:  6 Hershey's Nuggets Box

Box:

Cut  5.25" x 7.5" card stock for box
Score 5.25" side at:  0.75" on both sides
Score 7.5" side at:  0.75" and 2.25" on both sides

Belly Band:  5.5" x 1.75" fold around completed box to form score lines

DSP:   5.75" x 1.25"

Glimmer Paper:  4.5" x 0.75" flag both ends

Circle Punch:  1.75" and 2"

I made 13 of these boxes.  Yes, thirteen.  It all started with me making one box (pictured above) for someone at my daughters school.  Then, in walks the Hubby.  Ooo! Can you make me 12 of those for my co-workers?  We are having a Christmas party.

Sweet Peppermint Nugget Box with Instructions

Hello Hivers,

Here is another of the Hershey's Nugget boxes.  I love the look of this one.  The darkness of the Early Espresso card stock really helps the other colors to stand out.  I used the window thinlits from the Home Sweet Home thinlits dies.  (They are not just for Halloween.)  I like the way the windows offer just a little peek into the box before you open it fully.

Wonderful Year

Hello Hivers,

This is a great way to use up all of that Designer Series Paper you purchased in October during the big paper sale.  Use it as the background layer with a simple sentiment.  The paper and the sentiment will take center stage.  I seen this layout on Kay K. blog.  I think someone will be very happy to get this set of boxed cards.

Santa's On His Way!

Hello Hivers,

Don't you just love this card?  I thought the sentiment from the Cup of Cheer stamp set went perfect with the Santa's Sleigh thinlits.  Yes, the Cup of Cheer set is retired, but I had to use it on this card.  They pair so perfectly.  The picture doesn't do this card any justice.  The red overlay on the sleigh is Red Foil, as well as the scalloped oval.  It really shines in person.

Wonderful Flurry

Hello Hivers,

I decided to make a full card version of a card I shared on November 25, 2016.  I really like the look of the star flurry from the Stat of Light stamp set.  The Red Glimmer Paper almost makes the flurry look like it has glimmer on it as well.  Unlike the Notecard version that I made, I left the front of this card to speak for it's self.  No added images or sentiments to get in the way.

Oops! It's Retired

Hello Hivers,

Some how the Cup of Cheer did not get marked as Retired on my shelf.  I will occasionally use a retried stamp set or accessory, however, I made these cards thinking the stamp set was still current.  Any who....They still look great.  Check out the inside of the card below.

I wanted a design that would show off both sides of the Designer Series Paper.  The Candy Cane Lane DSP and the Star of Light stamp set are both current products that are still available for purchase.

Joyful Note Card Boxed Set

Hello Hivers,

I have been very busy making Christmas cards.  My goal this holiday season is to use all the stamp sets that I purchased from the 2016 Holiday Catalog.  I'm doing a great job so far.

I made two sets of 6 cards for my daughter to give to her teachers.  I used the Tin of Tags, Star of Light, and Santa's Sleigh stamp sets on these note cards.  These are made using the Crumb Cake Note Cards & Envelopes.  I love all the bling on these cards.

A Jolly Christmas

Hello Hivers,

I CASE'd this card from Pinterest.  I had to change a few things because I didn't have all of the same supplies.  I loved that card so much I would have made it exactly the same.  I used the Star of Light stamp set to stamp the background.  The sentiment comes from the Father Christmas stamp set.  The Gold Foil just adds that special something to this card.
