Hello Hivers, This card was in the making since April 2019. I made a card, HERE, and used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to cut out the center. I had this frame left over and I have been saving it. I finally got around to using it with the Timeless Tropical Bundle. I colored my images with Watercolor Pencils. The frame was made using Glossy Cardstock and the Blenders & Alcohol Background Technique. Don't be afraid to use your products that are retired. You buy them so that you can use them. I do it all the time.
As always, thanks for Buzzzing by the Hive today. Until next time....Buzzz you later. Honeybee
What if being creative was your job? Oh, wait! It can be! I would love to have you join my team.
Hello Hivers, Welcome to another Stampers By The Dozen Blog Hop. This month our theme is Birthdays. I recently seen a technique and wanted to try it out for myself. I think the results were fantabulous!
What do you think?
Debbie Henderson is calling this the Blenders & Alcohol Background Technique. I just scribbled on a Window Sheet with three different colored Stampin' Blends in a random pattern. Next, I quickly spritzed it with a mixture of Rubbing Alcohol and Champagne Shimmer Mist. Then I placed my paper onto the acetate, Glossy side down, rubbing firmly. Lift and let dry. (Caution: Don't leave the paper on the acetate too long, it will start to stick.) Finally, I die cut my paper using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits to use on my card. I hope you have enjoyed your visit to the Hive today. Sooo...What did you think of my project for this Hop? Leave a comment and let me know. Remember, this is a Blog Hop, the excitement continues... Hop on over to Carly's blog...she is up next in the Blog Hop.
Hello Hivers, Today I am sharing a card that was inspired by Dawn. She featured a technique that she is calling; Easy Stained Glass Glitter. You can see her card HERE. Boy was she right! This technique is very easy and has beautiful results. I am anxious to try this with other stamp sets, like the ones coming soon in the Holiday Catalog. I have been seeing this technique used all over the stamping community. I just had to try my hand at it. I loved the way these cards look. From the looks of it, I used the 2014-2016 In-Colors along with Whisper White and Basic Black. I also used the Exclusive Hostess stamp set, Hello There, for my greeting. I made my template for the Bokeh technique using the Circle Thinlits Dies.
