By The Dock Sympathy Card

Hello Hivers,

This is the sympathy card I made for one of my hubby's friends.  He lost his brother.  I will be so happy when I can stop making these types of cards.

I used the Hippo & Friends Dies to cut out the sentiment after heat embossing it.  The birds in the sky are from the High Tide stamp set.  I am not sure if you can see it on this photo, but I spritz water all over the card and it make the water look like it is in motion (to me, anyway.  LoL).

Sponging Colors:
Cajun Craze - ink and cardstock
Blackberry Bliss - ink and cardstock
Misty Moonlight, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Pumpkin Pie

Best Catch Retirement Card

Hello Hivers,

Here is a card I made for one of my hubby's co-workers and good friends.  Well, I guess he is no longer a coworker, since he retired.  I had so much fun making this card.  I don't get to make masculine cards often, so when I do, I try to enjoy every moment of it.  It is a challenge, but that is part of the fun. I used the Well Said and Sunshine Sayings stamp sets for all the sentiments.  Below is a picture of the inside of the card.

Spirited Snowmen - SBTD December 2018 Blog Hop

Hello Hivers,

Welcome to another Stampers By The Dozen Blog Hop.  This month we are making projects that are Non-Holiday but reflect the season/weather in the area in which we live.  Well, I live in Florida and, despite popular beliefs, it does get cold here.  LoL  Our cold is not the same as the cold in other parts of the USA (thank goodness).

Below is the card I made for the Hop.  I used two stamps sets in creating this card.  I started out with the Spirited Snowmen and added a few images from High Tide.  I sponged the background using a few "beach" colors.  I had to add the "sandman".  People in Florida really do make them on the beach.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit to the Hive today.  Sooo...What did you think of my project for this Hop?  Leave a comment and let me know.

Remember, this is a Blog Hop, the excitement continues...

Hop on over to Carly's blog...she is up next in the Blog Hop.

Stormy Days

Hello Hivers,

I am still playing around with the Polished Stone technique.  I thought the High Tide stamp set was perfect for the colors that I used in the background.  I textured the Basic Gray card stock with the Seaside Texuted Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF).

Colors:  Glossy White, Smokey Slate, Basic Gray, Pacific Point

Colorful Seasons Sympathy

Hello Hivers,

I made this card for my oldest son to give to one of his friends.  She lost her husband a couple of weeks ago.  I can't imagine what she is going through.  We are praying for her to find comfort in good memories of their life together.

I used the High Tide and Colorful Seasons stamp set to create the card.  The colors I used are Whisper White, Basic Black and Bermuda Bay card stock.  I added some of the New Mini Cheveron Ribbon along with some retired Candy Dots.

Flowers or Trees?

Hello Hivers,

Flowers or Palm Trees?  I made the palm trees using the flower image from the Avant-Garden stamp set.  I stamped them on a sheet of DSP from the Serene Scenery dsp stack.  I also used the birds from the High Tide stamp set and the sentiment is from Wetlands.

High Tide Hope

Hello Hivers,

Loving the Serene Scenery DSP stack.  It makes for great backgrounds.  I am proud to say that I didn't CASE this card at all.  I really like the dirty look of this card.
Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Masculine Birthday

Hello Hivers,

This is the card I made for my hubby on his birthday.  I just love this stamp set.  It is very versatile.  This is a CASE right from page 25 of the Occasions Catalog.  I had to change a few elements but basically the same.

My favorite part of making this card was thinking about the smile it would put on my husbands face.  I do love him so.

As always, thanks for Buzzzing by the Hive today.
