Sour Cream?

Hello Hivers,

Today I am sharing a project I made for my daughters 3rd birthday. They are called sour cream containers. I think it comes from the sour cream that Wendy's gave out with their baked potatoes. I filled the containers with individualy wrapped candies. They were a big hit. I hope you enjoy them as much as the children did.

Until next time.....

Season of Thanks

Hello Hivers,

This is a Thanksgiving Card. My husband told me that it looks like a Halloween card. I guess I should have made a fall day instead of a fall night scene. I used the Harvest Home stamp set with Lovely as a Tree stamp set in the background. Lots of SU colors and supplies. Yesterday I said that it was my first time trying the brayered background. Well, actually this card was the first. I made them both on the same day. I learned a few things with this card. Things like, be very careful with the VersaMarker so as to not have white spots where you don't want any. I got this idea and technique from Michelle Zindorf. I love her work. Visit her site and try this technique. Post a link to your card here and I will share them on Monday. Here are some close-up shots of my card. Have fun creating your cards.

Peaceful Wishes

Hello Hivers,
I am so excited about my post today. I love this card. I think it is SWEET like Honey. :-) This is the first time I used this stamp set, A Wish for Peace. This is also my first time using a brayered background. I think it turned out pretty good for my first time. I am posting 2 pictures of this card. One has a sentiment and the other doesn't. I couldn't figure out which one I liked more. The sentiment is from the Snow Swirled stamp set. I only used 2 colors for the background. I embossed my images with clear EP mixed with DD Glitter. I love the look it gave to my project.

Stationary Box

Hello Hivers,

Here is another something new that I tried. I really like these Stationary Boxes. I used some retired SU DSP, card stock, Bursting with Joy stamp set, Celebrate Everything stamp set, and the Fresh Cuts stamp set. If you look close you can see the RSVP pen that I slid a bit of DSP into.

I hope my work is inspiring you to try new techniques. I love trying new things.

Trying Something New

Hello Hivers,

I am trying all kinds of new things this week. Here is a "Box in a Bag" with a Dahlia fold flower. No stamping on this project. I used some retired DSP (wasn't sure how it would turn out). I used the Scallop Edge punch along the bottom and the Round Tab punch for the handles with a little double stitched ribbon to close it up. I hope you like it.

I am still working on Video Tutorials. I hope to have one before the month is out.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I love reading them. Please, feel free to leave more:)
