Today I am sharing a birthday card that I made during Sale-A-Bration. I seen a similar card on Pinterest by
Becky Jensen. I loved the way she colored the Back to Black DSP to coordinate with the rest of her card. I used the Brights Stampin' Write Markers for coloring. As you can see, I made my card open a bit differently than usual. This is a horizontal Gate Fold card with a belly band. I also used White Embossing Powder for one of the sentiments on the front of the card.

Hello Hivers,
I love today's card. Everything about it makes me smile. Let me start off by saying, I watched a video tutorial by
Dawn G. on a similar card. She gives very detailed instructions on how to put this card together. With that being said, I made my Mother's Day card using the Labels Collection Framelits instead of the Window Frames like Dawn. The images that I wanted to use made my card open from top to bottom instead of right and left like Dawn's card. However, this is totally a CASE of her technique.
Side Note: The card is about 7/8" to tall for our Medium Envelopes. I just created a new fold line or you could cut the tip off the top or bottom of the card to make it fit better.

Just a quick post. Here is another gate fold wedding card like the one I shared yesterday. This one I used all Whisper White card stock. I embossed the panels using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.

Hello Hivers,
I made this card for my son's 4th grade teacher. She was recently married.
Dawn has a video on how to create this type of card. The layout is also from one of her cards. I can't remember the name of the Specialty DSP that I used. I sponged it with River Rock. The base and middle oval is from Shimmery White card stock. I just love those little butterflies from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die.
