Fold Out Double Box with Video



Hello Hivers, 

Today I am sharing some very cute treat boxes.  I was inspired to make my versions of these boxes by Birgit Seidler, you can watch her tutorial HERE.  


WARNING:  This is going to be a long post.

First, let me show you the view from the top of the boxes.




Now, let me show you how these boxes open up.  Oh My Goodness!












How about some templates & measurements?

This is Birgit's version of the box. It holds up to 6 Ghirardelli chocolates.




Below is my first version of this cute Fold Out Double Box.  It holds up to 4 Dove chocolates.

Measurements:  
Cut Cardstock:  8" x 5"
Score Long Side: 1", 2.25", 4.25", 5.5", 7.5"
Score Short Side:  1.25", 2.25", 3.5", 4.5"
Go back to Long Side and Score at 3.25" and 6.5" down to the last score line.  See template below.

Red areas are cut away.
Decorate as desired.  
My measurements for the DSP: 
0.75" x 1" (x4) -- 1" x1" (x4) -- 1" x 1.75" (x1) 


Now for the smallest of the boxes.
Mearsurements:
Cut cardstock:  5.5" x 4"

Score Long Side:  0.50", 1.75", 2.75", 4", 5"

Score Short Side:  1.25", 1.75", 3", 3.5"

Go back to Long Side and Score at 2.25" and 4.5" down to the last score line.  See template below.

Red areas are cut away.
Layers:
Cardstock:  1-3/16" x 7/16" (x4) -- 1-1/8" x 15/16" (x1top) -- Smallest Stitched Shapes Square (x2)

DSP:  0.25" x 1" (x4) -- 1" x 1" (x4) -- 1" x 13/16" (x1 top)
