Detailed Santa CASE

Hello Hivers,

I CASE'd this card layout from Lorri Heiling.  Of course, I made a few changes to make the card my own.  But I love the way she cut out Santa right up to the edge.  I am going to have fun thinking up non Christmas uses for this thinlit.  I have already seen a few.

Candy Milk Carton

Hello Hivers,

This is a simple milk carton style box.  It is shorter and wider than most.  I found a video tutorial on Pinterest by Sam H. on how to put this cutie together.  Here is a link to the video.  As you can see from the photo...I filled my box with the soft peppermints.  This was a part of a gift set I made for the Assistant Principal at my daughters school.  I hope she enjoyed it.

Ferrero Explosion

Hello Hivers,

I made two of these cute little boxes.  I gave them to teachers at my daughters school.  I love the size.  It is a perfect fit for two of the candies.  One of my local grocery stores had the candy on sale, buy one get one free.  I couldn't pass up that deal.  I bought loads of this candy because I knew I would be making lots of little gifts for people.  It worked out great.

Merriest Wishes

Hello Hivers,

These are the final cards I made using the Merriest Tags framelits.  I love the layout.  It is so simple.  It allows each element to shine.  You can see the DSP, the stamped sentiment as well as the tag.  They all get to have their 15 minutes of fame, so to speak.  LOL  The cards at the top are my favorite of all these featured today.

Side Easel

Hello Hivers,

I watched Dawn G. make these cards over on her blog.  I just had to make them.  I only changed a few things on my version of the card.

Can you see the sparkle on the peppermints?  I added Wink of Stella all over.  I love the glitter without the mess.

Circle-ish Boxes

Hello Hivers,

I'm not sure what to call these boxes.  I just know they are Awesome.  I found a tutorial by mistake on Pinterest and forgot to Pin it.  I was so excited to make them.  They can hold one Ferrero Rocher or one  bath bomb.  I'm sure I'll come across them again.  I will try to remember to come back and post a link.

Father Christmas

Hello Hivers,

Merry CHRISTmas

Sharing a card that I really enjoyed coloring.  I love this stamp set.  The vintage look is one of my favorites. I used every stamp in the set to make this card.

Enjoy your family and friends today.  Give thanks for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Detailed Santa Shaker

Hello Hivers,

This was my first time using the Detailed Santa thinlits.  I don't know what took me so long to get to them.  I love it.  I made two shaker cards that are basically the same except for the paper used in the background.  This thinlit really stands alone, it adds so much interest to a card.  With so much going on with the front of the card, I thought it best to keep the inside very simple.

Sweet Sleigh

Hello Hivers,

Here is the third and final card from the set I CASE'd from Pinterest.   This, I do believe, is my favorite.  I love the simplicity.  The Wink of Stella gives it that little extra something it needed to not be so plain.

Another Big Gift Box

Hello Hivers,

Here is another big gift box that I made using Sam H. tutorial.  It uses one 12 x 12 sheet of Designer Series Paper for the lid and another 12 x 12 sheet of card stock for the base of the box.

I added two bows using the Bow Builder punch and some pine boughs from the Pretty Pines thinlits to decorate the lid.  I added a small tag using one of the sentiments from the Tin of Tags stamp set.

I hope your Holiday Season is going well.  Thanks for buzzzing by the Hive.

Merriest Father

Hello Hivers,

I made a few more cards using the Merriest Tags framelits.  I think they look good paired with the Father Christmas stamp set.

I don't know what happened when I was taking these photos.  Sorry for the darkness.  I didn't even notice until I came here to post them.

Two Way Poppers

Hello Hivers,

I found a video tutorial on Pinterest for these cute boxes.  The young lady called the Half Popper Boxes.         I am calling them Two Way Poppers because you can leave them in one of two ways.  Popped up like shown in the first photo or remove the ribbon and push it down as shown in the bottom photo.  I am not sure which way I like more.  They are both cute.  I feel as though these boxes need a tag or something.  They just don't seem complete.  Maybe I will add it before I give them to their recipient.

Thanks for buzzzing by the Hive today.

Warming Sweet Sugar Plum - CASE

Hello Hivers,

Here is the second card from the set I CASE'd from Pinterest.  Remember on the card I posted on the December 9th, this is one from that set.  I loved how the window from the Hearth & Home Thinlits was used to make a fireplace.  I would have never thought of this on my own.  So clever.

Ferrero Rocher Star

Hello Hivers,

I found a tutorial on Pinterest on how to make these Star shaped treat holders.  They are the perfect fit for one Ferrero Rocher chocolate.  I think they are super cute.  I love the little tag made using the Father Christmas stamp set.  It was just the right size for these little beauties.

Merriest Doily

Hello Hivers,

Here is another example of me not making up my mind.  I could not decide on a design for my card today, so I decided to make four different ones.  They are basically the same with minor differences.  I'm not sure which one I like the best.  I can't decide.  LOL  They will all be sent out to someone on my Christmas card list.  Who?  I'm not sure yet.

Two by Two

Hello Hivers,

Just some cute little boxes here for you today.  These boxes measure 2" x 2".  They are the perfect size for a nice treat or a small candle.  I tried and tried to get a picture that showed all the Wink of Stella that I applied all over these boxes.  They are much more beautiful in person.  I used the Candy Cane Lane DSP, Merriest Wishes stamp set along with the Bow Builder punch to decorate the boxes.

What do you think?  Which is your favorite?

6 Hershey's Nuggets Box

Hello Hivers,

Today I am sharing a box that holds 6 of the Hershey's Nuggets.  I found the tutorial on Connie Stewart's blog.  I followed her directions and adjusted the box for my needs.  By lining up my nuggets and measuring the length (6") I just added 1.5" to that and came out with a length of 7.5" for my box and keeping the 5.25" width Connie started out with.  All the score measurements stayed the same.  I will be trying this on smaller versions sometime next month.  I have included a written tutorial for your pleasure.

Instructions:  6 Hershey's Nuggets Box

Box:

Cut  5.25" x 7.5" card stock for box
Score 5.25" side at:  0.75" on both sides
Score 7.5" side at:  0.75" and 2.25" on both sides

Belly Band:  5.5" x 1.75" fold around completed box to form score lines

DSP:   5.75" x 1.25"

Glimmer Paper:  4.5" x 0.75" flag both ends

Circle Punch:  1.75" and 2"

Sweet Sugar Plum Christmas

Hello Hivers,

I seen a set of cards on Pinterest and you know me....I just had to CASE them.  I love this color combination. The layout is simple yet beautiful.  The Clear Wink of Stella really adds to these cards.  There are two other card designs in this set that I will be sharing later.  Soooo, if you like non-traditional colors for Christmas, be sure to stop back by the Hive to check them out.

Large Bow Gift Box

Hello Hivers,

I found a wonderful video tutorial over on Sam H. (Pootles) blog for this cute gift box.  I used the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper for the lid of the box.  I didn't have any ribbon that I wanted to use on the box so I just used Cherry Cobbler card stock.  I used several punch outs from the Bow Builder punch to make this larger bow.  The tag is from the Tin of Tag stamp set.
